Katie Springfield, PsyD

Psychology Resident

Dr. Katie Springfield was awarded her doctorate degree from Adler University in 2017. Throughout her clinical training and work, she has worked in a variety of settings with people across the lifespan. She has provided individual, couples, and family therapy to individuals presenting with diverse clinical issues, such as trauma-related disorders, schizophrenia, mood-related issues, and personality disorders.

In addition, she has also provided care for clients experiencing intimate partner violence, divorce issues, financial crises, parenting, substance, physical, and sexual abuse, family of origin issues, and those previously incarcerated. Dr. Springfield has also completed comprehensive assessment batteries with children, adolescents and adults.

Dr. Springfield takes a collaborative, authentic, and empowering approach, focusing on a client’s strengths and unique perspective. She firmly believes life can often become challenging in complicated and nuanced ways, and it is important to find a space to explore and process those stressors. Dr. Springfield always aims to provide a safe and respectful therapeutic experience while encouraging clients to further explore their emotional reactions, regulation, and understanding of themselves and those around them.
