Sue Ann McCray, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Sue Ann McCray completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Liberty University in 2013. Shortly after graduating from her undergraduate program, she began her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Boston University and completed the program in September of 2017. 


Ms. McCray has worked in several clinical positions in inpatient and outpatient settings that have afforded her the opportunity to learn and grow as a social worker.


She has worked with survivors of trauma due to domestic and sexual violence, anxiety and depression, she has provided relief for individuals enduring grief and loss, and supported individuals on their journey towards building a new life of sobriety in an inpatient residential treatment facility. Throughout her career, she has provided both individual and group therapy.

Ms. McCray tailors her interventions to meet the needs of her clients and uses a blend of multiple treatment modalities including, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Solution focused therapy and mindfulness based therapies to successfully alleviate symptoms and to help her clients live a balanced fulfilling life. 

Ms. McCray believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives. She provides an environment of compassion acceptance, warmth and respect that allows her clients to gain insight, self-efficacy, and empowerment while working toward an ultimate goal of growth and healing.
