Larissa Grundmanis, PsyD

Psychology Resident

Dr. Grundmanis completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at Antioch University New England in 2023. She completed her American Psychological Association accredited internship in 2023 in Moorhead, MN at a community mental health center. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Michigan Technological University, and a Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is currently completing her Post Doctoral Fellowship with Dougan and Walden Wellness.

 

During Dr. Grundmanis's training, she worked with a variety of different individuals and in a variety of different settings, including community mental health, a forensic inpatient hospital, and a residential facility for adolescents. She has worked with many different diagnoses, ranging from depression and anxiety to psychotic disorders and  has provided individual and group therapy throughout her studies.

Dr. Grundmanis uses an integrative approach to therapy. She believes that people are the expert of their own world, and she tries to incorporate her knowledge into your expertise. She does this primarily through the use of techniques from a variety of modalities, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, solution-focused, relational/attachment-based, and person-centered therapies.

 

Dr. Grundmanis acknowledges that seeking out a therapist and partaking in therapy can be a challenging task. Due to this, she strives to help develop a strong therapeutic relationship and help ease this challenge. Dr. Grundmanis recognizes life can be difficult, and that, with additional support, it can be tolerable.
