Ms. Leslie McIlvried is a board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has been working in the field of nursing since 1999, and she has been working with patients in the
mental health setting for the past 6 years in a variety of settings.
Ms. McIlvried received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Austin Peay State University in 1995. Soon after, she completed her Master of Nursing degree focused in the Family Nurse Practitioner track in 1997. In her role as a Primary Care Provider, she recognized the significance of the relationship between physical and emotional wellness in her patients.
This led her to obtain a Graduate Certificate as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of St. Francis in 2021.
Ms. McIlvried strives to incorporate a holistic, client-centered approach with her clients while providing medication management and therapeutic intervention ingrained in evidence-based practices. She tailors treatment to the unique and dynamic needs of her clients. She does not view her clients as their diagnoses, rather, she sees them as individuals. Her goal in providing medication management is to promote overall mental health wellness with her clients.
Ms. McIlvried has experiences across the lifespan; however, she works with adults ages 18-65. She treats all general psychiatric issues, with a clinical focus on Anxiety and Depression. She has experience treating Bipolar, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and some eating disorders. She is compassionate and strives to provide comprehensive mental health services.
