Roseanna Kehoe, LCSW

Ms. Kehoe earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Mary Washington, driven by her desire to support and advocate for individuals facing mental health challenges. During her studies, she researched cognitive functioning and gender biases. She gained clinical experience at an outpatient clinic, providing therapy to individuals with developmental delays, which fueled her pursuit of a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Ms. Kehoe has extensive clinical experience in outpatient clinics, alternative schools, residential, and correctional settings. As a Therapist Supervisor, she recognized the importance of fostering positive change and trust with clients facing emotional and behavioral challenges. She has a solid foundation in social work and specialized training in trauma, mood disorders, play therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. She is dedicated to promoting emotional well-being and resilience in children, youth, and young adults facing complex challenges.

Ms. Kehoe is particularly skilled in trauma-informed care, understanding the profound impact difficult life events can have on an individual’s mental health and overall well-being. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-esteem issues, and suicidal ideation. She is dedicated to assisting individuals in navigating the complexities of their personal journeys, fostering resilience, rediscovering strengths, and attaining lasting positive change. She believes the most important component to any successful therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship, which she provides with both empathy and respect.
